Micro shoots are planned at the last minute and often the day before. If I have some free time and the weather looks good I will announce a micro shoot at a location and it’s done on a first-come first-served basis. You just need to let me know you’re coming. Shoots are 20 minutes for 1-2 dogs. Any more than this number and you need to ask me to do another 20 minutes. Micro shoots are £30 and are paid in cash on the day. Generally I will stay in the location for 2-3 hours, but this depends on the weather conditions.

What’s included? With the cost of a micro shoot you get 2 edited high resolution digital portraits to keep and you can print these, post to your social media and keep on your phone. Any other images you may want you can purchase and the cost is the same as my regular prices. There is a minimum spend of £50, but only if you want to buy anything extra to your 2 free digital images. I will upload a gallery of images of your dog. There is no obligation to purchase any extra images after the shoot, however this is a much reduced rate for my services and if there is no purchase after the shoot (prints start from £12) then I would only offer the micro shoot service once to an individual. For those that do make a purchase after the shoots I extend my invitation for them to attend an unlimited number of micro shoots provided they make a purchase of the £50 minimum spend after each shoot.

How do I find out about your micro shoots?

I run micro shoots across Devon, Cornwall and Brighton and they are often done at the last minute. If you sign up to my WhatsApp group (by filling out the below form) for the location you are interested in then you will get notifications.

What is the process of a micro shoot?

• I announce a micro shoot date, time and location via my WhatsApp group for micro shoots and on my Facebook and instagram profiles.

• I will say how long I will be there and where I will be. You tell me you’re coming and we arrange a time for us to meet.

• I spend 20 minutes with each client (1-2 dogs). 3-4 dogs you will need to have 2 micro sessions, one after the other. A micro session is £30 cash paid after the shoot.

• After the shoot I edit the images and (within a week) I will email you to ask you which 2 images you would like. If you would like to purchase any other images you can do so and the gallery stays live for one month. After this time the images are no loner available either for your 2 free digital portraits or for any other sale so you need to get back to me before the expiry date.

• Due to the short amount of time I concentrate on action shots and portraits with my 70-200 lens. On a longer shoot I am able to offer a more wide variety of images. This lens takes fantastic action shots and portraits and is perfect for a shorter shoot, even with nervous dogs or dogs on leads.

Locations

Micro shoots are likely to take place on beaches so Exmouth and Saunton sands in Devon, Gwithian Towans, Perranporth, Maenporth, Hayle, Gyllinvase, Bude in Cornwall, then either Brighton or Lancing in Sussex. Likely they are where it is easy to get from the car park to the beach for ease. I will add more locations as I go.

How will you find me if I am on the beach photographing other dogs?

I will announce on my WhatsApp group / social media where I will be, what day and what times. On WhatsApp I share my live location so it’s really easy to find me.

How often do you do micro shoots?

I most often do them in Devon and Cornwall, less so in Sussex. I aim to do one per month but sometimes more or less. It all depends on how busy I am and how nice the weather is.
