All the dogs I photograph are happy and healthy, and every shoot we do focuses on a relaxed and natural environment – more specific locations can be discussed as part of any tailored photography package. In short, the dog leads the shoot and I ensure they are comfortable at all times. I am very used to assessing the needs and motivations of dogs and can help any business with a successful shoot for the images and dogs alike.

“We have recently worked with Rhian on a commercial photography project for Saunton Beach Villas’ new website. We have followed Rhian’s work for a while now and have been really keen to work with her. We love the style of her work; professional, beautiful images that are bursting with fun! The new website was the perfect opportunity.
The main aim of the brief was to shoot exciting images of dogs having a great time on Saunton Beach and Braunton Burrows, showing the vastness of the space and the beauty of our surroundings. We also asked Rhian to capture internal photographs of the Beach Villas, ‘around site’ images, and photos with humans in, too. Rhian embraced our requests with confidence and skill - our ideas were interpreted perfectly and she was also able to creatively recommend her own ideas as she knows the beach and the dunes here at Saunton so well.
Working with dogs that you’ve never met must always have its challenges, however, Rhian took it in her stride and took the time to understand what drove and rewarded the dogs in order to work with them effectively. Whether it was treats, a ball, or a splash in the sea, Rhian adapted her working method for each dog to get the very best results. The dogs all had an absolute blast and their expressions in the images tell that tale!
Rhian knew exactly which shots would work and at what time of day - she is a master of light and timing. Her professional knowledge combined with her knowledge of site enabled us to create a schedule of shots that really made the most of her time here. Over the course of several sessions, we threw 13 dogs, 8 adults, 3 children, and a toddler Rhian’s way! We are really pleased with the range of images that Rhian captured - we now have stunning variety of photos of dogs, landscapes, Villas, and people/families to use across each section of our new website. The website team are very impressed and thrilled to have such great content to work with.
